La Maddalena: what to see
The church of Santa Maria Maddalenafeatures a facade in the late Piedmontese Baroque style and inside some fine artifacts: a polychrome marble high altar of Ligurian workmanship, a crucifix dating from 1831, and a wooden statue of St. Mary Magdalene.
The small chapel of the Madonnetta: It is worth a walk to the small chapel that occupies an extremely picturesque location. Perched on a granite rock overlooking the sea, it affords a splendid view of the other islands of the Archipelago.
Beaches
Punta Tegge beach, Punta Tegge is located south of the island of La Maddalena is reached by driving along the Padule promenade in the direction of Nido d’ Aquila. Small beaches and a beautiful granite cliff where you can isolate yourself in search of the sound of the sea.
Cala Spalmatore Beach, in the Bay of the same name, on the other hand, is located to the north of the island, and is a beach always sheltered from the wind by fine white sand interspersed in the rocky parts with pink granite tafoni, the natural installations worked by the wind.
